 The tiny little town of Swisshome, named for the Swiss family that once lived there, is located 8 miles east of Mapleton on Highway 36, and is only 22 miles from the coastal town of Florence.
Swisshome is small but friendly and in a great location for seeing some of the attractions in the coastal area such as the Oregon Dunes and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. It is a wonderful little town full of many fun sites.
