Mapleton is a lovely little town that lies upstream of the Siuslaw River 15 miles from Florence, at the junction of Highways 126 and 36.

The weather in Mapleton tends to be better than Florence because it is 20 miles from the coast, but you are still near enough to the Oregon Dunes, and other attractions the coast has to offer.
In Mapleton itself a popular place is the Mapleton Boat Ramp for fishing when the salmon and steelhead run up the Siuslaw River. Along Highway 126 through Mapleton there is a handful of cute little shops.
Mapleton is town that offers so much for being its size. Its advantages are endless.
