| Oregon Internet Properties is owned and operated by David and Becky Work. OIP was formed in 1996 out of a combination of David's skill with Computers and Becky's skill with Real Estate. The area's best known Real Estate site, OIP now advertises properties for over hundreds of the area's best Real Estate Agents and builders.
OIP owes its success to the backgrounds of its
owners, the commitment of its employees, and to the philosophy that comes with struggling in an industry
subject to immense (and sometimes unreasonable) regulation. The
Internet is also bringing significant change to the Industry, and
OIP hopes to host many of those changes in Lane and Douglas Counties.
David Work
David started his data processing career in
1973, after receiving his degree from Portland State University in
German Language and Literature. Progressing steadily from programmer
trainee to Data Processing Manager, he started his own consulting
business in 1985.
Becky Carwithen-Work
Becky started her real estate career in 1992 and is with All State Real Estate in Cottage Grove. She specializes in country properties, and partners with Valerie Nash. Although her OIP responsibilities keep her from being a full-time Realtor, Becky
enjoys her profession.
They are both members of the Cottage Grove Board
and Springfield Boards of Realtors,
the Oregon Association of Realtors (OAR) and the National Association
of Realtors (NAR). David is Past President of the Cottage Grove
Rotary Club, formerly on the Board of Directors for
the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce, and Past Board Chair and current Board Member for the Family Relief Nursery, a local non-profit committed to the elimination of child abuse.
